APICS - CPIM 2

Tuesdays: April 30-August 13, 2019 - 5:00 pm to 9:00pm

This course is part 2 of a 2-part series intended for Operations and Supply Chain professionals who want to improve their knowledge and skills in Operations and Supply Chain Management, gain practical knowledge and skills that can be used immediately in their job and master the APICS Body of Knowledge terminology and concepts with the intent to pursue certification.

Prerequisite: Students must have completed either CPIM Part 1 or CPIM Basics of Supply Chain Management prior to attending this course.

The course will include the following sections:

  • Master Planning of Resources
  • Detailed Scheduling and Planning
  • Execution and Control of Operations
  • Strategic Management of Resources

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt is much more than an extension of the concepts learned in Green Belt training. It expands into the design side of Lean Six Sigma initiatives and focuses on the role of a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt – mentoring Green Belts, leading Black Belt projects, & driving Continuous Improvement (CI) within your organization.

Who Should Attend: Trained Lean Six Sigma Green Belts interested in the transition from Project Leader to Continuous Improvement Driver. A good understanding and experience applying the concepts, principles, and tools of LSS will be beneficial.

The LSS Green Belt training materials are comprehensive and include the phases of the LSS body of knowledge covering the background and history of LSS as well as all phases, Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control, of the DMAIC process. This course is ideal for those who wish gain a greater understanding of all phases of LSS as well as gain useful statistical and business tools associated with all phases of the DMAIC process.
